On Thursday, July 13^th, the new library of the Academy was inaugurated by Prof. Reza Davari Ardakani. The audience comprised the secretary, vice presidents for research as well as the chairmen of the scientific departments and a number of directors and staffers of the Academy.

At first, Prof. Davari thanked the authorities for all their efforts in setting up the new library. He hoped that this library which is connected to a number of the world's large libraries, will develop more than ever.

After visiting the existing English, Latin and Farsi stacks and manuscripts, the participants gathered in the reference book room where Ms. Mitra Maadani, Director of the library, and Ms. Shirin Amini, staffer, welcomed the guests and thanked the president and secretary of the Academy for their support. They also gave an account on the number of existing books, different sections of the library and the features of the Academy's web-based software.

The library holds books in macro and general scientific issues and also in specialized fields like human sciences, Islamic sciences, basic sciences, veterinary sciences, agricultural sciences, engineering sciences, science and technology foresight, Persian language and literature and art. It has accumulated 20,000 Farsi, English and Latin books, more than 100 periodical journals and compact disks of various issues including Academy's accomplished research projects.

The Academy's library has the following sections: reference, Farsi books stacks, English and Latin books stacks, and Farsi, English and Latin periodicals.
