On November 21-23, the Fifth International Conference on Engineering Education was held at the K. N. Toosi University of Technology.

The event was hosted by the Academy of Sciences of IR Iran, K. N. Toosi University of Technology and Iran Society of Engineering Education. The chairman, fellows and associate fellows of the Department of Engineering Sciences of the Academy also attended this conference.

At the opening ceremony, Prof. Ali Khaki Sedigh, president of the K. N. Toosi University of Technology, delivered a speech.

In this conference, five keynote speeches were delivered by the university professors from Australia, Canada and Switzerland and one keynote speech was delivered by the manager of Isfahan Science and Technology Town. Moreover, seven roundtables were held during the conference and there were 27 papers presented by the distinguished local and international scientists. The selected papers of this conference will be published in the next volumes of Iranian Journal of Engineering Education.

So far, five rounds of these biennial conferences on engineering education have been held at the University of Tehran, Isfahan University of Technology, Sharif University of Technology, Shiraz University and K. N. Toosi University of Technology.
