Prof. Mehdi Zare attended the AASSA regional workshop on "Strategies for Building a Link between Earthquake Science and Policies to Inform State Structures and Public to Reduce the Risks and Consequences of Earthquake" in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on 11-13 October, 2017.

The title of his presentation was "Reevaluation of Seismic Hazard Zoning Maps in SW Asia, and Providing a Basis for the Future Trend for Activities".

In his report, Prof. Zare has presented the abstract of his paper. He has also provided some details about the workshop, history of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and the AASSA.
