The 59th issue of the Academy’s Persian-English Newsletter has been published. Prof. Reza Davari Ardakani has contributed the editorial on "On the Necessity and Priority of the Improvement of the Administrative and Educational Systems".

 

The other items covered in the Newsletter are the news of the meetings of the Academy councils, seminars and lectures; publications and international activities of the Academy in the second season of the current year. The Newsletter also embraces these topics:

election of Prof. Hassan Zohoor as the Academy's candidate to receive the First Governmental Medal of Science for 2015 at the Joint Honoring Ceremony of the Academies of IR Iran; second meeting of the Workgroup for Studies on the Status of Education in the Country; meetings on "Science in the Islamic Civilization" in the Department of Islamic Sciences of the Academy; co-thinking meeting on "Challenges of Quality and Quantity of the Continuing Education Programs"; lecture by Prof. Hassan Tadjbakhsh in the seminar on "Classes of Iranian Physicians- Age of Translation"; publication of the second issue of the Strategic Research Journal in Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources; lecture by Prof. Iraj Malekmohammadi on "Change Process Management in the Agricultural Development"; lecture by Prof. Mohammad Shahedi in the regional workshop of the Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia on "The Role of Sciences in the Green Development"; publication of the 70th issue of the Iranian Journal of Engineering Education; creation of the Workgroup on the Emerging Sciences and Technologies in the Center for Science and Technology Studies of the Academy; introduction of the winners of the Second Round of Prize Awarding Ceremony of Prof. Reza Davari Ardakani; Prof. Mohammad Reza Mokhber Dezfouli's biography; evaluation of the eighteen years of activities of the Iranian Journal of Engineering Education; and introduction to the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.  

 

The Newsletter also contains several other lectures and speeches of the members of the Academy and introduction of two new publications of the Academy members.
