The Department of Veterinary Sciences of the Academy held a one-day seminar on the Current Status of Brucellosis at the Academy's Conference Room on February 27th.

The audience included the secretary; chairman, fellows and associate fellows of the Department; a number of members of other scientific departments of the Academy and university academics.
At first, Prof. Mohammad-Gholi Nadalian, chairman of the Department, welcomed the audience and emphasized the importance of Brucellosis disease which is common between humans and animals.
Then the following six lectures were delivered:

- Key Points about Animal Brucellosis, Dr. Mohsen Meshkat
- Status of Animal Brucellosis in Iran, Dr. Karim Amiri
- Role of Vaccination in Control and Prevention of Brucellosis in Iran, Dr. Saeed Alamian
