On October 17th, the Division of Food Industry, Department of Agricultural Sciences of the Academy, held a seminar on the Health and Quality of Agricultural and Food Products.

 

The audience comprised the secretary, vice president for research in pure and applied sciences, and the chairman of the Department of Agricultural Sciences of the Academy, a number of fellows and associate fellows of the Department, a number of university professors and experts in agricultural sciences and food industry.

After welcoming addresses of Prof. Namazi and Prof. Sharifi Tehrani, the following lectures were delivered:

Improving the Quality and Health of Society through the Promotion of Quality of Agricultural and Food Product Standards: Evaluation of the Obstacles and Strategies, Prof. Parvin Eshratabadi

Necessity for Ranking the Agricultural Products Based on Health and Quality, Prof. Mohammad Ali Malboobi

Health and Quality of Processed Products - Radiation Processing, Dr. Samira Berenji

Challenges in Health, Food Quality and Security in Iran, Dr. Mohammad Hojati

Then, the lecturers answered to the questions posed to them by the audience.

At the concluding part of the seminar, Prof. Sharifi Tehrani and Prof. Shahedi awarded Tablets of Appreciation to the lecturers.
